“Why am I still so sad? I’m all alone, and that’s how I wanted it to be, but it still isn’t right.” The text written on the left sleeve of this jacket are the thoughts running through the mind of our titular Forlorn Moon, shortly after it rejects the friendly planets who try to raise the Moon’s spirits. This piece is up for interpretation: is it a sad representation of those who are unwilling or unable to seek help when they need it, or an example of the Moon knowing itself well enough to feel comfortable simply wallowing in the sadness, with the knowledge that this is the best path forward?
